Something changed in our communities

We've become residents, not citizens.

Our neighbors still care about the same everyday things: safe streets, good schools, careful use of public money, and the parks we share.

What many have lost isn't the values. It's the confidence that showing up makes a difference.

The Community Stewardship Program helps ordinary people rebuild that habit the old-fashioned way, through trusted local relationships.

It is not

A campaign.

It is not

A party project.

It is

A year-round community group in your town.

You set the table. Friends help you fill it. We handle the folding chairs.

Imagine

A Saturday in June.

A few neighbors meet at the park with rakes and extra gloves. Someone brings coffee. Kids plant flowers by the playground. Before everyone leaves, you set a date for the school-supply drop-off and thank the people who came.

That is the work. It's already happening.

Neighbors gathered in a community meeting room
About six gatherings a year

What you'll do

  • Host about six community gatherings a year, each 2 to 4 hours
  • Invite a few friends to help as Connectors, so you never do it alone
  • On the day itself: be present, introduce people, thank them, and take photos
  • Lean on your Community Leadership Director, event playbooks, and grants for real costs
Become a Community Leader

“Would you help me host a few good days in our town this year?”

That's the ask you'll make to a few friends. Too many of us live next to our neighbors instead of knowing them. Your group changes that.

The pillars

Six issues neighbors care about.

Every gathering your group hosts is rooted in one of them.

01

Public Safety

Supporting the people and habits that keep neighborhoods livable.

02

Accountable Education

Helping families understand local schools and take part constructively.

03

Fiscal Responsibility

Practical learning about household and community stewardship of money.

04

Conservation

Caring for the parks, waterways, and natural areas of our community.

05

Healthy Lifestyles

Inspiring healthy eating, active living, and clean, safe habits.

06

Opportunity & Abundance

Championing the spirit of free enterprise behind the American Dream.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Is this political?

No. This is not a campaign and not a party project. Every gathering is open to all neighbors regardless of party or how often they vote, and Leaders and Connectors never use the group's name, list, or events to support or oppose a candidate.

How much time does it take?

Community Leaders host about six gatherings a year, each roughly 2 to 4 hours, plus a short planning call and a monthly conversation with their Community Leadership Director. A few friends who help as Connectors share the load.

Do I need any experience?

No. You are the host, not the whole show. ASI provides a Community Leadership Director, event playbooks, drafted invitations, and guidance.

Who pays for supplies?

ASI grants help local Leaders cover real costs like supplies, park fees, flyers, and space rentals for initiatives tied to the six pillars.

What happens after I sign up?

You'll talk with a Community Leadership Director about your town. From there: review the Pledge, reach out to potential connectors, and start planning your first event.

Next step

You can make meaningful change at home. Right now.
